A refinement, not a rebuild — with a hard deadline
The agreed scope is to refine the existing site (roughly 30 hours of work) so it's ready for the Royal Show, with a project target to go live by Friday, 25 September 2026 — not a ground-up rebuild. This audit pulls together everything found across a live-site walkthrough, the SEO research already completed, and the plugin & platform audit, so the priority order below is clear before the Statement of Work is finalised.
What to fix, in order
Split by urgency so the 2-week window is spent on what matters most first; the rest can safely fold into the ongoing SEO & content plan.
High — before the Royal Show
Order confirmation emails aren't sending
Orders complete on-site but WooCommerce isn't emailing the customer or the business a confirmation. Needs diagnosing before Royal Show order volume — the plugin audit shows the email plugin is active, so this is a configuration check, not a rebuild.
Sticky header & nav dropdown
The header doesn't behave as a proper sticky nav and the dropdown menu needs tidying up.
Roll out the approved Golden Paddock colours & fonts
This is already scoped as its own piece of work — flagging it here as the dependency every other visual fix should sequence after, so the reno doesn't get done twice.
Move from WPBakery to Elementor
Alyssa has confirmed the site will move from WPBakery to Elementor. The migration will be built and tested on staging before the live site is changed.
Homepage calendar is oversized and empty
A full month-grid calendar currently runs the width of the homepage showing "no upcoming events" — it pushes real content down. Replace with a simple upcoming-events list, as agreed.
Update plugins (18 pending)
18 plugins are behind on updates, including page-builder and core functionality plugins — leaving these unpatched risks both security and functionality issues on the live site, so this moves ahead of general housekeeping.
Add the 250ml Olive Oil product
A new 250ml Olive Oil size needs to be added to the shop, listed and ready to sell in time for the Royal Show.
"Find a Producer" page is a 404
The producer-finder link the nav promises leads to the site's error page today, live. A core trust/utility feature is currently broken for visitors.
Medium — part of this reno
No dedicated Olive Oil or Honey pages
Both are sold in the shop but, unlike Eggs, have no story page of their own.
Refresh the Pasture-Raised Eggs page
Good copy today, but the stockist list needs updating to what's current.
Update the main menu
Bring the nav in line with what the site actually offers once new pages land.
New photography & icons
Alyssa to supply fresh imagery/icons across the site, as agreed.
Expand the Farm Stall page
Broaden it to capture more local search demand, in time for the Royal Show.
Expand the homepage
Build out the copy beneath the three-tile entry and work in local search terms already close to page one, like "farms Perth" and "farm shop near me".
Expand the Family Farm page
The SEO research surfaced real search demand for farm tours and on-farm experiences that nothing on the site currently targets — the Family Farm page is the natural home for the markets, workshops and resident animals (dogs, horses, sheep, alpacas, pig, ducks).
Subscription / repeat-order model
Add a subscription option for regularly-purchased produce — could move to later if there's no time in this project.
Low — ongoing SEO/content
Launch a formal blog
To confirm: whether a blog post is wanted for the Royal Show. If it launches after, fold the SEO audit's topic clusters (Pasture-Raised Eggs, Raw Honey incl. Redgum, Agritourism & Farm Experiences, Regenerative Farming Education) into the editorial calendar. Enterprise stacking, regenerative agriculture and peri-urban agriculture are additional angles worth further SEO research for future posts.
Apply the SEO quick wins already identified
Homepage meta description, structured data schema, and expanded local copy (e.g. "Farms Perth") — see the existing SEO audit, no new research needed.
Plugin housekeeping
Retire WPBakery after the Elementor migration has been tested and approved. Also pick one SEO plugin (Yoast or All in One SEO — not both), switch Akismet on before go-live, and retire duplicate tools (Gravity Forms, Duplicator Pro, W3 Total Cache, Feed Them Social, the spare Google Analytics plugins, Sendle Shipping). Full detail in the plugin & platform audit.
What I found live, today
Screenshots taken directly from thenaturalcircle.com.au on 11 September 2026.
Strong photography and a clear three-tile entry (Family Farm / Farm Direct Produce / Farm Stall) — the foundation is good.
Further down the page, a full month-grid calendar runs edge-to-edge showing "no upcoming events" — this is the block to simplify.
Clean WooCommerce grid, 8 products across Bee Products, Eggs, Olive Oil and All Goods — a good base once the order-email issue is fixed.
This link currently returns the site's 404 error page — live, for visitors, today.
Referenced, not re-run
Both pieces of work below are already approved — this audit uses their findings as its technical foundation rather than repeating the research.
SEO Keyword Research (Aug 2026)
33 page-one keywords and ~33 estimated monthly visits today, with quick wins already identified: fix the homepage meta description, add structured data schema, and expand copy for local terms like "Farms Perth".

44 plugins reviewed — 30 active, 18 with updates ready. The confirmed move from WPBakery to Elementor is the top platform item; the rest is routine cleanup (duplicate/unused tools, batched updates).
