Page builder is several versions behind
WPBakery Page Builder — the tool every page on the site is built with — is on version 6.8.0, and the current release is 9.0.1. This is the single biggest item to plan for: it should be tested and updated carefully before or as part of the renovation, since it touches every page.
A second page builder is installed but unused
Elementor and Elementor Pro are active on the site but none of the pages are actually built with them — WPBakery does all the work. Removing them is safe and reduces the number of moving parts (and may free up a paid licence).
Two SEO plugins on the shelf
Both Yoast SEO and All in One SEO are installed but switched off — no conflict currently, just worth deciding which one (if either) the renovated site will use.
Spam protection is switched off
Akismet is installed but inactive. Since this is still the staging site, it's not urgent — worth switching on as part of go-live prep, before the contact form is public.
18 plugins have updates ready
Includes WooCommerce, Google Site Kit, The Events Calendar, Jetpack and others — normal maintenance, best batched and tested together rather than one at a time.

Test the update on staging first since it affects every page, then schedule the live update.
Confirm and remove Elementor / Elementor Pro
Once confirmed unused across every page, deactivate and remove both to simplify the site.

Batch the routine updates
Apply the 18 pending plugin updates together on staging, then push live.
Clear out the dormant plugins
Remove the duplicate/legacy tools once confirmed not needed, to reduce clutter and risk.
