Australian Mining Camps does not have a traffic problem. Over the twelve months to 1 August 2026 the site pulled 46,866 clicks from 701,454 impressions across 3,415 queries. The problem is where that demand lands. Camp profiles ship with no H1 at all, titles do not use the words people type, and ten operator PDFs sitting in the media library outrank the camp pages they belong to. This plan fixes the pages that already earn first, then builds the layer above them that does not exist yet, then adds the content that turns a one-off visit into an email address.
The site sits at roughly 3,900 visits a month against a goal of 10,000 and $3,000 to $4,000 in monthly ad income. Month one is worth about 785 visits a month on its own, and it moves 5,735 annual clicks off PDFs that carry no ads and onto pages that do. Months two and three add pages for demand the site already receives but has nowhere to put. Most of the path runs through pages that already exist.
Everything in month one is metadata, template and content work on pages that already rank. The implementation pack shipped with this strategy has the exact strings: 127 titles, 127 H1s, 127 meta descriptions and the redirect map, all generated from each camp's own search data.
| Keyword | Searches / mo | Current |
|---|---|---|
| banksia village blackwater | 260 | #4 |
| carlindi camp | 260 | #4 |
| dawson village | 210 | #4 |
| bhp packsaddle camp | 170 | #4 |
| hail creek mine camp | 170 | #4 |
| telfer mine camp | 140 | #4 |
| gudai darri camp | n/a | PDF ranks, page at #9.9 |
| civeo dysart village | 590 | #11 |
There is nothing on the site between the homepage and an individual camp. No operator hubs, no region hubs, no pillar. That is where the largest unserved clusters sit, and it is where Civeo beats AMC today on camps AMC has better data for.
| Keyword | Searches / mo | Current |
|---|---|---|
| mining camps moranbah | 8,130 (cluster) | no page |
| fmg solomon camp | 6,280 (cluster) | no page |

| civeo moranbah village | 1,300 | #11 |
| civeo coppabella village | 1,000 | #11.6 |
| mining camps australia | - | #6 |
Months one and two win the click. Month three keeps it. Camp maps, the packing checklist and the camp life content are what the discovery call identified as the lead magnets, and the search data backs all three.

The plan assumes four to six pieces of work a month. Month one is front-loaded because it is a CSV import and two template changes rather than new pages. If more time is available in months two and three, the operator hubs scale first: they are templated off the directory data and each one targets its own named cluster.
It does not chase advertiser keywords. The research found no measurable Australian search volume across the whole advertiser track, so advertiser acquisition is outbound plus a page for traffic already on the site. It also does not build for job seekers. They are adjacent traffic with the wrong intent, worth measuring and not worth building for.
Nothing in month one needs design or new sections. The Rank Math CSV imports 127 titles and meta descriptions in one go, the H1 is a single template change, and the redirect map is ten lines. The two camps earning zero impressions, southern-operations-accommodation-village and fmg-kangi-camp, are both in the sitemap, so they need a manual URL inspection and request indexing in Search Console alongside the content fill.
